Between the Lines
Group exhibition
The line as a shared language between street practice and contemporary painting.

The project.
Curated by Rom Levy at The Mine in Dubai in May 2016, Between the Lines brought together artists whose work moved between the street and the gallery. The exhibition used the line as a point of connection across figuration, abstraction, lettering and mark-making.
The selection included Andrew Schoultz, Kenton Parker, RETNA, Andrew Faris, Paul Insect, BAST, eL Seed, Jenny Sharaf and Word to Mother. Their different visual languages formed a conversation about the changing boundaries of urban contemporary art.
