Fintan Magee & Askew One
Two artists, a temporary London space, and a conversation between painting and the street.
The project.
Oceanic brought Fintan Magee and Askew One together at a temporary RexRomae space in Shoreditch in July 2014. Rom Levy curated the exhibition, which connected works on paper and Plexiglas with murals inside and outside the venue.
Magee’s figurative paintings and Askew’s layered portraiture shared a setting that retained the scale and immediacy of their work in public space.
