The first phases of the Dubai Street Museum project, being implemented by the Government of Dubai, and Dubai Municipality, saw the participation of prominent international mural and graffiti artists from across the world. The artists painted several murals across the city on themes drawn from the UAE’s history and rich heritage. The new artworks represent a valuable addition to each communities, neighborhood and Dubai’s creative and artistic environment. Apart from bringing together prominent international mural artists, the project has also facilitated the participation and development of talented young UAE artists.
The murals rejuvenated the targeted areas with more tourism and commerce. Residents have now taken identity of their new neighborhood.
